I am Tay Lee Yen, and I have fallen in love with the kalimba since July 2019. On this blog, I am sharing the covers I have arranged, and they free for non-commercial use. I would appreciate if you could acknowledge the source of the arrangement by linking your video covers to: https://yellowbirdkalimba.blogspot.com/ or http://www.youtube.com/c/TayLeeYen p/s: The site got its name from the first complete cover (Yellow Bird) that I had arranged back in Aug 2019.

Swan Lake
I used to play this song on the piano. I hope you'll like this rendition of the song. Personally I like the 1-3-4-3 base.

Bella Ciao
I saw many people playing this song for the last few weeks, but only went to find out more about it yesterday. According to Oprah Magazine, the song is sung as a song of solidarity, in support of the Italian people who are in lockdown as they try to stop further spread of the Coronavirus.

The Beautiful Blue Danube
The Beautiful Blue Danube, by Johann Strauss II
Level: Beginners
Play just the upper part if you're very new to kalimba. Play both upper and lower parts if you're ready for harmony!
Look out for bars 18, 19, 30, and 31. The hands need to cross over to the other side

Qué Sera Sera
Qué Sera Sera
Level: Beginners
Bars 2 to 8 might be slightly more challenging because of the broken chords in the second part. But it's just 'slightly more', still doable for beginners.
I like this arrangement because it incorporates three different types of accompaniement. The broken chords up till bar 9, the arpeggios from 10 to 15, followed by bom-cha-cha rhythm... I call it bom-cha-cha, I can't recall the proper name for this type of accompaniement 😅
