Senorita

This is a simple arrangement. However, it is tricky to play the chorus - where Camila and Shawn sang together. I arranged them in octaves. Easy arrangement but difficult to play.

Sonata in C K.545 by Mozart

This is an arrangement which is great to practise running notes (scales), and the alberti bass on a kalimba.

Please remember to mention my YouTube channel (https://youtube.com/c/TayLeeYen) if you're uploading your playing of this piece.

Enjoy!

The Addams Family Theme Song

This is my first kalimba video using green screen, or green cloth in my case. To me, it is a fun song to play because of the tapping and the rather simple melody. The arrangement that I've made for the song is quite easy too. However, I haven't converted this into number tabs yet. Right now, the arrangement is only available in standard notation.

Please note that much of the idea on how to play the song on the kalimba, is derived from this video by Teacher Neo, also known as kalimbie x https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HkkeP72GpVU

Satu Malaysia

I haven't done written down the notes nicely yet, but here's what I jot down for my own practice purpose. It contains the numbers for melody line of Satu Malaysia.

Setia

Setia is a Malaysian patriotic song originally sung by Francissca Peter. In this kalimba arrangement, I had tried to arrange in such a way that at any one point of the song, only one note is played. If you see multiple notes, they are usually broken chords meant to be played as glissando. However, there are a couple of notes which I had forgotten to split up, and they end up being played together.

Moon River

I think the best known version of the song is the original performance by Audrey Hepburn in the movie Breakfast at Tiffany's (1961). However, to date, I still have yet to watch the movie.

My first encounter with the song was through a big Oldies songbook with number tabs. The reason I loved it back then was because it was easy to play with very few notes. The first time I heard an artist singing the song was likely to be the version by Andy Williams - which I heard from a cassette recording. It was much later before I learned of the origins of the song.

As for this kalimba version, I think it is fairly easy to play - just like the song itself, simple and enchanting.
